Buzz Motorsports is ready to take on the ASA Late Model Series Northern Division once again in 2008!

By Buzz Motorsports / M.P.H. Promotions
Mackinaw, Illinois (Wednesday, April 23, 2008): Buzz Motorsports teammates and Brothers, Derek and Nick Neville share more than just brotherhood and friendship. They’re the only drivers in ASALMS history to have appeared at every single Northern Division event since the division was born in 2006.

The “Brothers Neville” will begin their third season of ASALMS Northern Division competition this Friday, April 25, 2008 at O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis in the GunBroker.com 100 Presented by ASI Limited.

The 2008 season opener was scheduled for Toledo Speedway in Toledo, Ohio on April 12th, but Mother Nature has other ideas and the Glass Breaker 125 was postponed until Sunday, June 1, 2008.

Prior to the rains hitting the Buckeye State oval, Derek Neville was the fastest car of the weekend in combined Practice Speeds from both Friday and what limited Practice there was on Saturday while Nick had worked his way into the Top 10 in the final session on Saturday before the weather came back and ended up staying for the rest of the weekend.

With the rescheduled 2008 season opener now at ORP, Buzz Motorsports comes into the event armed with some exciting news! Dixie Chopper Lawn Mowers has re-signed with the Buzz Motorsports Team for 2008 as the primary sponsor of both the #55 ASALMS car of Nick Neville and the #32T Quarter Midget of Trevor Neville.

In addition, Dixie Choppers has also announced they will be an associate sponsor of the #95 ASALMS car of Derek Neville and the #27D Quarter Midget of Danielle Neville. If that isn’t enough great news, Buzz Motorsports is also just a few days away from the official announcement of a new major primary sponsor for the #95 ASALMS car of Derek Neville.

In even more news out of Buzz Motorsports, legendary Crew Chief, Mike Butz of Green Bay, Wisconsin has been hired to lead the 95 team of Derek Neville for the 2008 season. The names of drivers that Butz has worked with over the years looks like a virtual who’s who list of short track racing stars including veterans and rookies alike.

The most notable being Matt Kenneth as he ascended to the top of the Wisconsin late model ranks in the mid 90’s under Mikes’ leadership and is now a superstar in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and was the last ever NASCAR Winston Cup Series Champion in 2003!

“This has really been an exciting couple of weeks for our team!” An elated Jamie Neville, Car Owner for Buzz Motorsports noted. “First of all, Dixie Choppers confirmed that they are eager to step up to the plate again this season and not only sponsor Nicks #55 car, but to also extend their support to the entire Buzz Motorsports family.”

“I’m proud that they have the confidence in our drivers and crews to continue marketing the “World Fastest Lawn Mowers” with our team.” Neville added. “Secondly, the addition of Mike Butz as Dereks new crew chief is a fantastic way to start the season. His knowledge and experience will make our entire team second to none in the ASALMS.”

“I am really excited about getting this season going. With Mike on board, a new sponsor coming and the fastest lap at Toledo, what more could I ask for?” Asked Derek Neville. “ORP was a good track for us last year. I plan to get a good jump on the point’s deal there this weekend. I think the 95 car will be in the hunt every week!”

Nick then added; “We plan to pick up right where we left off last year. Now that crew chief Kevin Tunks and I have a whole season of working together under our belts, we are going to be able to hit the ground running.”

“Our communication just keeps getting better. He knows what I like in a car, and at Toledo a few weeks back, he kept working until we got there and cracked the Top 10 in the speed charts before the rain hit.” He ended.

Derek Neville was the 2006 ASALMS Northern Division Rookie of the Year! In his sophomore season in 2007, he scored One Top Five finish, a season high Fifth place finish in the Missouri 100 Presented by K.C. Power Equipment at the I-70 Speedway on June 9, 2007.

He also racked up an impressive Six (6) Top 10 finishes in the Nine (9) ASALMS North events held in 2007!

Nick Neville was the 2007 ASALMS Northern Division Runner-Up earned that spot based on his career best showing of a Third in the 2007 ASALMS Northern Division Season Championships / Oktoberfest 100 on October 6, 2007.

Neville led the first 33 laps of the Oktoberfest 100 and vaulted himself from Sixth all the way to the runner-up position in the final 2007 ASALMS Northern Division Points Standings.

The 2007 Oktoberfest Best Looking Car and Crew Award Winners’ Third Place at the LaCrosse (WI) Fairgrounds Speedway was his career high finish and was one of Three Top Five finishes to go with his Seven Top 10 showings. All of his Top 10’s came in the last Seven (7) ASALMS Northern Division Races in 2007!

In addition, Nick also has an ARP Bodies Fast Qualifier Award, which he won in his first ever ASALMS Challenge Division event at the Music City Motorplex in Nashville, Tennessee back on March 31, 2007.

For the 2008 racing season, Nick Neville will carry the colors of Dixie Chopper Lawn Mowers on the side of his familiar lime green #55 Buzz Motorsports Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Additional support comes from; Ben E. Neville Roll-Off and Trucking Service, Nick’s Quality Lawn Care, M.P.H. Promotions, and of course Buzz Motorsports.

Derek Neville will steer his familiar Red and Black #95 with sponsorship from Ben E. Neville Roll-Off and Trucking Service, as well as Neville Land Development, Dixie Chopper Lawn Mowers, M.P.H. Promotions, and Buzz Motorsports. Expect a major announcement soon for Derek Neville regarding major sponsorship for the remainder of the 2008 season.
